We decided to kick off our new fiscal year which started last month with a new series of thought leadership articles.
The last time we published content was in December 2020. In 2021 we got super busy with new business development initiatives and working through our various Covid-19 lockdowns and peak cycles. Going forward we have decided we will publish a new article every month with key focus areas being our customer success stories, case studies, solution use cases and how MWare can help you build your competitive edge which is our theme and motto for the year ahead.
We made it through all of that and we are happy to report that in our last fiscal year our turnover increased by more than 10% which was highlighted by an increase of 84% on our software-as-a-service (SaaS) plugins. What does this all this mean? Well, if you ask some of our long-standing customers, it is quite a lot in our opinion. They are the gauge whereby we measure our success and the yard stick for the growth we aim to achieve and the targets we set for ourselves. We felt it’s important to provide feedback from our customers because it’s not about us but more importantly about the difference we make in their lives and the improvements we make for their business.
So, we reached out to a select group of our customers to answer five key questions we posted to them for feedback on the MWare experience. As you may already know MWare provides automated business performance solutions to small and medium businesses. Our main drive is to continue to distribute our own and selected partners’ tools. We integrate these various tools, to automate key business processes which include plug-ins to help organisations manage niche, specific and general resources.
This is what Chris Lazanakis, IT Manager of Kargo National Logistics had to say about his relationship with MWare and the service and support provided to him by Charl Ferreira our COO. Kargo are using the Sage300 ERP system with our Electronic Payment Solution which is integrated.
Q. What was it like before you had our product or service?
A. The process was manual, time consuming and inefficient. Payments were recorded on an Excel spreadsheet by the Cashbook Clerk / AP Clerk. These payments were obtained from reports that were printed from Sage300c. The spreadsheet was emailed to the FM who would check that the payments were in order. The spreadsheet was then emailed to the MD who would approve certain payments. The spreadsheet gets emailed to the Bank clerk who then pays according to the MD’s approval. The spreadsheet gets modified by the Bank clerk to show the transactions that were paid. Together with the bank statement, the spreadsheet gets sent back to the AP clerk as well as CB Clerk who then reconcile on Sage300c. This process gets repeated whenever needed.
Q. What problem(s) were you trying to solve with our product or service?
A. The process had to be optimised and a seamless workflow had to be created and implemented. We already had the data available, and we were looking for a way to collapse all the different steps into an efficient process where paperwork was eliminated. Integration into the Bank was an especially important consideration mitigating the chances of incorrect amounts and or account numbers applied. A detailed audit trail was paramount due to the fact payments and account numbers were involved.
Q. What was one unexpected benefit you experienced from using our product or service?
A. Partial Payments could now be done. This means that payments requiring a deposit or multiple payments for the same transactions could now easily be implemented and recorded with the outstanding amount being reflected all the way through to the finalising the complete payment.
Q. What have you been able to achieve since using our product or service?
A. A solution that works the way it was intended to work. The process and workflow are efficient, compact and the chances of making mistakes are reduced to almost zero. Paperwork is eliminated, and history information is quickly and easily retrieved allowing for queries to be settled in no time.
Q. If there is one word you could use to describe your experience with us, what would it be and why?
A. Specialised! My main point of contact is Charl. Whether my requirement is highly technical or user simplistic, I know that I can deal with one person who can solve my problem or answer my questions. I sometimes need complex SQL views for integration. Other times I need basic Sage300c information relating to internal user queries. This, for me, is invaluable and significant in allowing me to focus on what matters.
Another positive note from Sarel Du Plessis, the MD of HSAFE Risk Solutions in Saudi Arabia. MWare has provided HSAFE with a mobile workforce solution for their teams working in the field.
Q. What was it like before you had our product or service?
A. HSAFE was using another software program which was not user friendly. It did not allow you to make or do amendments to any documents and loosing accurate data was the order of the day.
Q. What problem(s) were you trying to solve with our product or service?
A. With the mobile workforce solution supplied by MWare we wanted to have accurate data collection and a quick turnkey solution for the development of a full HSE inspection and auditing function. This was achieved with the commitment of the MWare team and the ease of use of the product, which enables HSAFE Risk Solutions to create their own inspections and audit sheets.
Q. What was one unexpected benefit you experienced from using our product or service?
A. The user friendliness of the system enables HSAFE Risk Solutions to take full ownership of the system, which we could not get with the previous service provider. The time to develop and to create new work orders takes minutes, which added value to our clients with a short turnaround time. This was not possible with the previous service provider and constantly led to delays of the project due to time constraints on their behalf and availability and turn around.
Q. What have you been able to achieve since using our product or service?
A. Since HSAFE Risk Solutions started working with MWare we have managed to provide a turnkey solution to all our clients with accurate data and analysis thereof.
Q. If there is one word you could use to describe your experience with us, what would it be and why?
A. Fully Comprehensive! In Afrikaans Sarel says “Dit is flippen lekker om saam met MWare te werk”
